Charity auction hosted by Auction House auctioneer Chris Edwards aims to raise thousands with its sale of unique bull sculptures.

Art lovers are set to have an un-bull-ievable evening on Thursday 16th October as the highly anticipated Bulls in the City charity auction takes place.

Hosted by Chris Edwards, Auctioneer and Managing Director of Auction House Birmingham & Black Country, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening to raise vital funds for Birmingham Hospice.

Sculptures that celebrate the city and beyond

The Bulls in the City auction will feature 37 incredi-bull sculptures, each of which has a vibrant and unique design created by talented artists and sponsored by generous businesses.

These include the Cadbully, designed and painted by Donna Newman and sponsored by Central BID, which is a delicious tribute to Birmingham’s iconic chocolate factory, and the coin-covered Sir Loins, which was created by Angus McBob on behalf of Birmingham Hospice.

A special miniature bull has also been painted by TV personality and proud Brummie Alison Hammand, which is sure to attract interest from fans of The Great British Bake Off host.

The full list of bulls being auctioned can be found on the Auction House Birmingham & Black Country website.

Creativity for a cause

The auction is being held in support of Birmingham Hospice, which provides essential palliative and end-of-life care for local people living with life-limiting illnesses. As costs continue to rise, additional funds are essential so that the charity can continue to carry out its crucial work.

Commenting ahead of the auction, auctioneer Chris Edwards said: “Birmingham Hospice is a truly great cause to get involved with and Auction House Birmingham, part of the UK’s favourite and most successful auctioneers, is delighted to have been chosen as auctioneers and auction sponsors for this terrifically exciting event.

“We’re going to make this evening a night of entertainment as well as fundraising: as it is being held in a cinema, I will be charging around on the stage, ‘bulling’ it up to create plenty of energy and help us raise as much money as possible.”
