Mooring plot with 29 metre river frontage and narrowboat situated on Thorpe Island in Norwich.

Delightful setting for this mooring plot with 29 metre river frontage measured across the dyke, STMS. Access is only via Freda, a small boat which is kept at the pub opposite (The Rushcutters), through verbal agreement. The quay heading around the majority of the dyke has recently been reinforced with gabion cages. Around the 9m river frontage to the west the heading is with sleepers and the 15m to the east, with wooden posts. The 50ft traditional stern, wooden top narrowboat (Rainbow) was built c.1973 by Les Allen, the renowned Oldbury builder, and is listed on their register (The Allens Register). The boat was repainted in summer 2021 and had an Out of Water survey in October 2020 during which the hull was re-blacked. The mooring includes a secluded garden with a small storage shed and two further seating areas, which are all screened by vegetation from the railway line situated to the rear. The land is registered as Mooring and Premises and was many years ago a boat house. Offering endless opportunities. Please note it is a requirement that the purchaser acquires both the mooring and the boat on a 50-50 basis
