After my father passed away in late 2014 I was left with no option but to sell the family home. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the property structurally it was certainly not a dream house and was in desperate need of updating and extensive renovations. It’s only saving grace was the location and it’s potential.
Initially I tried the private market and got offers but unfortunately they fell through as tends to happen. I was then advised to speak to Charles and his team to see what they could do for me at auction.
Right from the start Charles and his team were thorough and professional and took me through a seamless process. They were incredibly responsive and importantly provided me with accurate advice on how to position my property at auction.
Looking back I can’t belief how stress free the process was in comparison to that of trying to sell on the private market. Importantly for my property the auction setting was exactly the right forum for attracting not only private buyers looking for a good deal but also developers who had the foresight to see the potential of the property.
In the end I am pleased to say that the property sold for £65,000 more than what I was offered on the private market which was an amazing result. My only regret is that I did not approach Charles and his team sooner.
