A new programme fronted by Sarah Beeny captures drama and a surprise bidding war on auction day at Auction House East Anglia.

Fronted by renowned broadcaster and entrepreneur Sarah Beeny, Help! I Bought It at Auction dives into the world of property auctions, tracing the journey of buyers as they transform their bids into dream homes or profitable investments.

In episode two, which first aired on 1st April 2026, the Channel 4 crew got an exclusive front-row seat at Auction House East Anglia as they hosted their September 2025 livestream event. Cameras rolled as bidders battled it out in real time, revealing the auctioneering skill, speed and excitement that define auction day.

One lot in particular stole the show.

This lot was a small piece of land with derelict garages in Clacton-on-Sea, guided at a modest £10,000 to £15,000. But it clearly struck a chord with bidders, with over 30 joining on auction day to battle it out. After a frenzy of bidding, the hammer went down on a final figure of £91,000, smashing all expectations.

Commenting on the episode, Director and Auctioneer of Auction House East Anglia Bryan Baxter said: “The footage really captured all of the energy of auction day, from the drama at the rostrum to the hard work of our behind-the-scenes team. Every auction is different and has its own stars and standout moments – it’s what makes what we do so exciting.

“The episode also showed how versatile auction is; there isn’t anything we haven’t seen or sold before. If you’re wondering if your property or land is right for auction, just get in touch with our amazing team to find out!  And if you’ve ever considered buying from auction, this programme reveals how you can truly unlock a property’s full potential.”
